New law to protect property investors in Dubai due in first quarter of 2013   Dubai’s new real estate investor protection law is to be released during the first quarter of 2013, the Dubai Land Department has confirmed. A draft was published in June and after a consultation process the final law is now being drawn up, according to Majida Ali Rashid, director of planning and organisational development at the DLD. He said that the department received several suggestions from the public and interested parties.

The Dubai Real Estate Market (eMart) at www.emart.gov.ae is designed for real estate professionals to list their properties for sale and rent in Dubai and there is also an auction facility.

Property buyers in Dubai have not yet received money for cancelled projects  29/1/2015  While Dubai has tagged more projects as officially ''cancelled'' — dating to off-plan launches that took place between 2005-08 — it does not necessarily mean affected property buyers are closer to recovering their monies. (More than 150 projects now stand cancelled as per the Dubai Courts records.)
